What Went Wrong - #5

Here we go again with WWW (What Went Wrong).

As always,  we will begin with the answer/correction to the last exercise of WWW (What Went Wrong)? And then follow by the next WWW exercise. Let see what errors do we have to correct in the last WWW exercise.

Some people (1) has have very good memories and can (2) easy easily learn quick long poems by heart. There are other people who can only remember things when they have said them over and over. The famous English writing, Charles Dickens said that he could walk down any (3) tall long street in London and then told you the name of every shop he had passed. Many of the great men of the world have had wonderful memories.

Here are the explanation on those correction:

1. Some people has very good memories?  X
   Correction: Some people have very good memories.
   Explanation:  This error is subject and verb a agreement mistake. The word people is plural need to go with plural form of verb to have which is have.
2. can easy learn quick long poems by heart.  X
   Correction: can easily learn quick long poems by heart
   Explanation:  The second error is on the word form. easy is adj., but we need adv. here to modify verb which is learn. Adverb help to tell how, when or where the action happened. 
3. Charles Dickens said that he could walk down any tall street in London.  X
   Correction: Charles Dickens said that he could walk down any long street in London. 
   Explanation: The collocation that go with street is long street / high street, narrow street but not tall street.

I have just requested for the access to the university network. The admin said that he would take 5 days to complete the request. After finish the request, he will notify me via the email. I don't sure why it must take him this long but all I could said to him was "don't be worry, please take your time".
